With the Golden Globes announced yesterday, it is officially the start of movies big night, The Oscars. But could this years Academy Awards be doomed?
Well yes! Why?
The Screen Actors Guild is threatening a strike if the members vote for it. And if it happens, we may find out the day after the Oscar nominations are announced on Jan. 22nd.
If a strike happens, Oscar may not be able to avoid a disaster like it did last year when the writers strike ended just before the awards show.
The Oscars take place on February 22nd(2 days after my birthday). And bloggers and reporters seem to think the front runners are “The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button” and “Revolutionary Road.” Both movies that I have not seen.
The Golden Globes will be awarded on Jan. 11th with many other awards handed out inbetween that time.
