Reelzchannel -TV about Movies, announced this week that they will be relocating its corporate headquarters to Albuquerque from Minneapolis, bringing more TV jobs to the area.
While some people are losing their jobs in Minnesota, because their signature show Dailies, a daily news and information program focused entirely on the movies, is being canceled. But the move is expected to bring around a hundred jobs to New Mexico.
ReelzChannel is owned by Hubbard Media Group, which also owns KOB-TV, Channel 4, in Albuquerque.
The company will be holding a job fair at the Embassy Suites on Jan. 13 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. to fill jobs in a variety of areas, including advertising sales, affiliate relations, finance and administration, human resources, information technology, marketing and communications, television production and Web site management.
The network is described as dedicated to everything about movies. Its programming includes “The Directors” and “Secret’s Out.”
They have not said where they will be located, but they said they have talked to Albuquerque Studios about space there.
The network is hoping to be up and running in Albuquerque by May.
